Because it’s hard to say no to the nice jeans at DSTLD Denim Bar, a new pop-up selling LA-made raw denim jeans with a little side of lounge, open today through the holidays in West Hollywood. (See the slideshow here.)
So you know, the name is like “distilled.” And the jeans are classic, stripped-down and untreated—with just a little flexibility (aka Lycra) to get you past the whole breaking-in-your-jeans phase and right into the wearing-the-hell-out-of-your-jeans phase.
Just step inside the arty, industrial space right next to Madeo. Accept the offered prosecco or cocktail. Circumnavigate the crazy sculpture of gravity-defying jeans in the center of the room. And start touching some of the regular jeans.
They’ve got three cuts made for men: straight, slim and cigarette, in shades like dark indigo and charcoal, and all using raw denim from celebrated mills in Japan, Italy and North Carolina.
