Great job weekending out there.
But now it’s back to the grind.
Yep, it’s back to the already-Tuesday, new-bar, cold-beers-and-a-glorious-patio grind.
Make do at Cold Beer Company, a descriptively named hangout for engaging in pints and sandwiches under a shady umbrella, now open in Deep Ellum. (See it here.)
It’s good to start the week off gently. So today, knock off early and head over to this place. Because it’s a rehabbed brick building full of wooden tables, metal bar stools and big garage doors that open to the wraparound patio. And all that stuff combines to form one hell of a comfortable drinking-beers-with-friends destination.
Speaking of beer, they’ve got 24 drafts (about half are locals) and plenty more in bottles. But say all that beer is making you hungry. Then... order a darker beer. Or try some food, like the Wagyu meatball sandwich, brisket tacos or something in the hot dog family. Maybe the Expo Dog. It’s topped with bacon, sport peppers and mac and cheese. (Here’s the menu.)
And if you’re hungry late, well, you’ll like what happens between the hours of 11pm and 2am. Because that’s when the sausage-and-cheese kolaches come out.
Be quiet or you’ll scare them off.
