Something.

Anything.

We don’t care what it is or what form it takes.

But for the love of all that is right and good, we could really use a little luck up there in Wrigleyville this season.

Okay, this counts...

Roadhouse 66 Gas N’ Grill, a new outpost of fried pickles, chili burgers and ever so delicious beer, now open near Wrigley Field.

“Wait,” you say. “Roadhouse 66. That sounds familiar.” And you’re right. The old one burned down last year. This is the nearby reincarnation. Newer. Better. Smokier. See, they now have a big meat-smoker and aren’t afraid to use it.

Kind of ironic after a fire. Either way, good move.

They’ve taken a close look at themselves and said, yes, it’s perfectly well and good to recreate that whole Americana-themed honky-tonk vibe with wood paneling and funky sculptures made from old license plates.

And yes, it’s terrific to provide a shaded patio for watching a game while sipping something pale-ale-ish and talking about “next year.”

But they also realize that what you may need in your life is the following: 1) burgers topped with double-smoked bacon, 2) bacon-green-chili stew, 3) house-smoked wings, 4) maple-butter fried chicken...

5) A nap.
