Your Royal Rooftop Soiree Awaits

They say charity begins at home. They are so, so wrong. Charity begins on a rooftop lounge in River North. Selfless, a new charitable-giving app, is throwing a soiree at the Kensington, which includes sushi, sliders, cocktails and that unmistakable feeling that you’re kinda sorta saving the world.

You Should Probably Dance Here
LOOPS, THEY DID IT AGAIN

You Should Probably Dance Here

Get your picnic basket. Your wine. Your blanket. Your... glow sticks. Whatever it is you need to enjoy music with beeps and blips. See, Loops and Variations, Millennium Park’s new summer electronic music series, debuts tonight with some dance-y electro experimentalists out of LA called Yacht. No floaties necessary.

Thursdays starting May 29, 6:30pm, no cost, Millennium Park, Jay Pritzker Pavilion, 201 E Randolph St, 312-742-1168

It’s a Great Weekend to Love Tacos

Lots of big festivals out there to distract you this weekend. Take this one, for example. Its purpose is to recognize the cultural contributions of the taco on society. So expect fancy tacos. Also expect gorditas and pambazos and DJs and live music, and that’ll do.

May 30, 6-11pm; May 31, 2-10pm; Jun 1, 2-9pm; Festival del Taco, 2600 S Kostner Ave, 773-868-3010

Here, Smell This. Then, Drink This.
SNIFFS NOTES

Here, Smell This. Then, Drink This.

Tomorrow night, your nose is requested at the Underground. Specifically, you’ll need to smell something new from Alfred Lane, makers of fine solid-form cologne. Then you’ll need to swirl some whiskey. Then you’ll need to actually drink the whiskey. Hell, you may even want to.

Sunday
Sausage Blowing: Not What You Think...
BE JAMMIN’

Sausage Blowing: Not What You Think...

... unless you think it’s a race involving blowing a “sausage wheel” across a finish line. Which, at LagerJam at least, it is. You’ll receive all the artisanal sausages and beers (Bell’s, Revolution...) you require to get you in the appropriate race-day frame of mind. Whatever frame of mind that is.
