You know that saying about how everything is bigger in Texas...
Well, guess that applies to the beer pong now, too.
Make some room for Backyard at the Social House Uptown, an alfresco drinking spot and the birthplace of giant-size beer pong, now open Saturdays and Sundays.
Consider this the early front-runner for 2014’s Best Use of an Old Parking Lot award. See, Social House took some empty paved space behind their fine establishment and decided to fill it with giant Jenga, cornhole, Twister, hula hoops, a soccer field and a bizarre version of beer pong played with trash cans and exercise balls. Yes, the big inflatable ones.
What you’ll want to do is treat this operation like you’d treat any beer garden with picnic tables, wood-fired pizzas and over 100 different taps. And that is to frequent the hell out of it when it’s sunny. Also, to rent it out for a private party when you’ve got something special to celebrate.
Or you want to practice your giant Jenga.
