Be the change you want to see in the world...
Unless that change is more rabbit ravioli and whiskey.
Then just sit back and hope an old coffee shop handles it for you.

Reintroduce yourself to Origin Kitchen + Bar. It’s the new incarnation of Origin Natural Food,
and it’s opening tomorrow on McKinney Ave with some essential upgrades (think full kitchen and liquor
license).
Now, let’s see what you’re working with.
The Space
Then: A bright and sunny spot with a square coffee
bar and stainless-steel tables. Good for caffeine and wi-fi.
Now: An unrecognizable spot with light woods, white leather booths, an open kitchen and a bar. Like a bar
bar.
The Food
Then: A small menu with preprepared health foods like
spinach salads and brussels sprouts.
Now: Breakfast, lunch and dinner. It’s all cooked in-house and it’s all got real
weeknight-date potential. Especially the elk tenderloin and rabbit ravioli.
The Drinks
Then: Mostly just coffee. Whiskey if you snuck it
in.
Now: A respectable ensemble of local beers, wines by the glass and cocktails. They’ve
still got the coffee, though.
In case you’re not a morning wine-by-the-glass person.
