A new piano bar just opened in Sandy Springs. Name’s Tailfeathers. It’s got Cuban sandwiches and mussels and a big circular bar. Oh, and a grand piano. A player piano. So maybe pour out a little bourbon for unemployed pianists.
Watershed just started this new thing where they serve off-menu gumbo every Thursday night. The catch: they won’t tell you what kind until you get there (could be rabbit and andouille sausage, could be seafood...). The other catch: when it’s gone, it’s gone. That’s just logic, really.
Brick Store Pub. Friday. 5:03pm sharp. Be there if the idea of tasting beers you’ve never tasted sounds like a good one. Because a new Decatur brewery called Three Taverns will be there launching two Belgian-style numbers. One’s a single ale. One’s an IPA. Both are beer. So that’s good.
Here’s what Saturday looks like: you, waking up. Finding your way to Joystick Gamebar. Feigning surprise when you find out that a full-on pinball tournament is under way. Entering the tournament. Playing pinball. Drinking a beer. Winning the finals. Drinking another beer. Saying “yay.” Going to bed.
Hanging out on Condesa’s patio on Saturday sounds like a nice way to pass a few hours. Particularly the ones after 3pm. Because that’s when they’re handing out gratis BLTs and launching their oak-aged Old Fashioned (it spent six weeks soaking with oak chips). Wish it a happy 1.5 months.
