Well, here’s a place we think you’ll both enjoy.

Grab a leash for Mutts Canine Cantina, an alfresco burger shack, beer garden and dog park that’s opening later this week in Uptown.

What we’ve got here is a hotbed of leisurely pursuits. There’s a silver hut with a walk-up window where you’ll order things like burgers and bourbon-spiked shakes. There’s a sprawling beer garden with yellow picnic tables and shade trees where you’ll consume bourbon-spiked shakes. And then there’s two acres of fenced-in grass where your dog can chase tennis balls.

So, yes, if you’ve got a dog or an affinity for beer or a dog who’s got an affinity for beer, then there’s a lot to like about this place. That’s including but not limited to: breakfast tacos, lattes, Chicago-style hot dogs, pilsners and fresh air.

Of course, should your four-legged friend get a bit peckish while running around, take comfort in knowing that this place serves canine-friendly treats like vanilla custard and bite-size franks.
