A Place Called Gaslamp Café Just Opened

The best thing about new lunch spots is... well, they’re new lunch spots. Take this one, for example. It’s called the Gaslamp Café. They’re making all kinds of clubs, Reubens and Cajun chicken sandwiches over there. That’s happening right now. So you should go. Right now.

Now open, Gaslamp Café, 1599 Howard St (at 12th), 415-580-7493

NIGHT THIS WAY

Night at the Museum: SFMOMA Edition

First, the bad news: SFMOMA is closed until 2016-ish. Now, the good news: SFMOMA is throwing a 24-hour party on Saturday to kill some time. We’d suggest killing it with them. Something about free admission, all-night gallery access and live-art variety shows. Whatever those are.

A MATTER

A16 Does Oakland. You Rejoice.

You and A16 have history together. Neapolitan pie history. Gnocchi history. But it’s time to look to the future now. And... Oakland. Because a new A16 opens there this weekend. Look for a heavier seafood-and-crudo focus at this one. Also, a full cocktail program and a 1,500-bottle-strong wine cellar. That’ll do.

Opens Jun 1, A16 Rockridge, 5356 College Ave, Oakland, 415-771-2216

When Life Gives You Waffle Pop-Ups...

Chrissy’s Waffles is about to do that thing again. You know, the one where they pop up at various places and start making you things like bacon-and-black-pepper waffles and pairing them with prosecco. Anyway, that’s happening at Biondivino next. Looks like you’re going to Biondivino.

It’s Negroni Week. Who Knew.
GIN LIKE FLYNN

It’s Negroni Week. Who Knew.

Negroni Week exists. And it’s this one. It’s this week. Everybody’s throwing parties and whatnot. But Sunday... that’s your time to shine. Hit Local Edition for a huge honky-tonk-themed party complete with Negroni pork tacos and a DJ spinning old country tunes. And presumably cocktails made with gin and vermouth.

Jun 2, 5-9pm, Local Edition, 691 Market St (at 3rd), 415-795-1375
