Get a load of Hakkasan, a mammoth five-floor palace of celebratory existing and creative Cantonese food, opening next Thursday at MGM Grand.

Maybe you’ve been to Hakkasan in San Francisco. Or New York. Or perhaps London. It’s good stuff. The kind of black-pepper ribeye and champagne-glazed silver cod that’ll win someone a Michelin star if they’re not careful. And hey, it has. But apparently, food was just the beginning.

Because this place is more. Five floors’ worth of more. There’s bottle service and lounging and go-go dancers and... yes, that’s a floor of go-go dancers.

It all looks like something a megalomaniacal Chinese emperor would have had constructed in his honor over the course of three centuries. Giant slabs of stone piled high. Wrought-iron symbols everywhere. Masses of humanity moving together to the likes of Deadmau5, Steve Aoki and Tiësto.

Man, Chinese emperors could party.
