A Big, Dark, Wooded House of Burgers

Beef.

Buns.

Cheese.

You.

Now.

You know where this is going...

It’s called Burger Joint, it’s a very wood-filled place to get a burger, and it’s now open in Greenwich Village.

If the name sounds familiar, that’s because it’s what you tend to call places that specialize in putting beef on buns. But it could also be because you’ve savored the sweet patty creations of its Midtown counterpart at Le Parker Meridien. This is thrice the size of that, looks like your childhood friend’s awesome basement and will soon have a full bar.

A few things will catch your eye upon entering. The eight-foot-wide “EAT” sign to your right. The bar to your left. (No booze yet, but have patience.) Breeze past all that and post up at the booths. Yes, that was a wooden monkey hanging over a stand-up piano you just passed. And a poster of Bart Simpson.

Your role here is to bring maybe two to five buddies suffering from burger pangs. You’ll break in the low-lit booths beyond the bar/monkey and fulfill your evening’s destiny.

Your only choice is between burger and cheeseburger. Add fries and a shake (potentially alcoholized soon) if you please. You’ll receive all in a greasy brown bag.

Seals in the freshness.
