The Mixt Greens guys have branched out into the sandwich world. Their crown jewel: putting rotisserie meats between sliced bread. The No. 00’s roasted short rib/American cheese/English muffin combo resembles a gourmet Big Mac. Only here you’ll also be able to order one of 18 beers with that. Beats supersizing.
So the Foreign Cinema team has opened a sandwich offshoot in mid-Market. For breakfast: Four Barrel coffee and sticky buns. For lunch: the Drill Press (their pastrami melt). For dinner: you go somewhere else.
In two weeks, the Marina Green will be transformed into the America’s Cup Village for the World Series races. The best seats in the house will be the bleachers in the Deck, across from the finish line—with access to food, beverages and private bathrooms. They’re on sale first thing tomorrow. Act accordingly.
The mighty director himself will be on hand for questions following the 4:45 and 7:15pm screenings of his new thriller, Twixt. (Turns out his inspiration came about after consuming large quantities of the traditional Turkish liquor raki with a lawyer and her sister.) Apparently, the guy makes more than wine.
