A Best Picture and a Cold Beer
SILENCE IS GOLDEN

A Best Picture and a Cold Beer

Tonight, you feel like taking it easy. Maybe a movie. With no words. But plenty of beer. So head to Chastain Park, where they’re kicking off a monthlong series of movie screenings with The Artist. They’ll supply the suds and food-truck grub, you supply the blanket.

Friday
Lunch on a Farm
MEAT UP

Lunch on a Farm

White Oak Pastures (you know their carnivorous work from Holeman & Finch) just opened a restaurant on their farm. The seating: open-air and communal. The lunch menu: meat and meat-related miscellanea (think hamburger casserole with fried corn and okra). All made fresh. All made daily. All better than a salad.

Now open for lunch, Dinner on the Grounds at White Oak Pastures, 22775 Hwy 27, Bluffton, 229-641-2081

A Coffee-and-Donut Popsicle
JOE COOL

A Coffee-and-Donut Popsicle

The guys over at King of Pops are experimenting again. This time they’ve taken iced coffee and Krispy Kreme donuts, and froze them into a popsicle (yes, we don’t know what took them so long either). They’ll have their first-ever batch available at the main location tomorrow. Get a double venti’s worth.

Jul 6, 2pm, King of Pops at Buddy’s, 1079 N Ave NE, 404-507-6774

Watching Wimbledon on the Big Screen
ALL THAT RAQUET

Watching Wimbledon on the Big Screen

It’s Wimbledon. So obviously, it’s time to go to the movies for a Bloody Mary. If we lost you, here’s the deal: CinéBistro is showing the matches on their big screens, complete with bars set up in the auditorium. Also, brunch service. Yes, you can have popcorn for brunch.

Jul 6-8, no cost, CinéBistro, 1004 Town Blvd, 404-333-0740

Next Monday
Dinner Service by Dan Uggla
BRAVES NEW WORLD

Dinner Service by Dan Uggla

Dan Uggla. Damn fine second baseman. Surprisingly capable waiter. Don’t believe us: make a reservation at STK for next Monday. They’re hosting a special four-course dinner. And there’ll be a bunch of Braves waiting tables for charity. Try to keep the heckling to a minimum.
