At LACMA on Saturday, there’s a screening of a 24-hour film about clocks. (So LACMA.) Oh, and a 24-hour donut pop-up across the street in conjunction with the screening, stocked with everything from Randy’s to Fonuts. What donuts have to do with clocks is anyone’s guess, but hey, free donuts.
You may want to sign up for Public School 612’s Monday evening class. Reason being: it’s not really a class at all. You’ll get four beer cocktails—like a Beericano, with vermouth, Campari and IPA—paired with food like fried chicken on a stick. You almost majored in that.
Starting this Tuesday and continuing on the last Tuesday of every month, Bigfoot Lodge is setting up a Boy Scout–style pinewood derby racetrack. Five bucks gets you a kit to build a little car, and five more gets you a tiny glass of milk. Just kidding, it gets you some whiskey.
