It’s better to have weekended and lost than never to have weekended at all.
This week we’re spiking your next PB&J with some bourbon (or tequila, or champagne), courtesy of the artisanal jam makers/boozehounds at the Jam Stand. And we took the liberty of booking you a posh room and dinner for two at a Michelin-starred restaurant in Napa Valley. We know you too well.
A wise man once said: “It’s hot, so you should drink beer ice cream floats.” Sage advice, indeed. And turns out, Ray’s on the River just rolled out three new limited-edition beer floats—think vanilla Guinness with Frangelico and amaretto, or Woodchuck cider with vanilla and caramel. Thanks, wise man.
Fact: it’s best to go out and do things on the weekends. Sometimes that involves taking drink. Sometimes that involves 5am mechanical bull bocce tournaments (it’s where you play bocce on mechanical bulls). But it should always involve chicken sausage. Convenient, because Delia’s is now open 24 hours on the weekends.
Before you know it, chocolate season will be smacking you square in the face. We don’t even know what that means. Still, it’s probably best if you know that Cacao (that place with the best chocolate in recorded history) is opening a new outpost Saturday in Virginia Highland. Seriously, though, chocolate season. Be ready.
