The weekend is a triple-A weekend.

GETTING SOME INK

Michael Voltaggio’s Sandwich Spot

You’re still waiting... and waiting... for Michael Voltaggio to open his molecular Melrose eatery, ink. But today he’s opened a surprise sandwich counter next door called ink.sack, which you’ll want to hit immediately for a lunch bag filled with fried chicken sandwiches made from centrifuged buttermilk. Mmm, futuristic chicken.

Wed-Sun, 11am-5pm(ish), ink.sack, 8360 Melrose Ave #107, see the menu

RUN FOR THE BORDER

The Sunset Strip’s New Mexican Spot

We know you. You want tequila. You want Mole Xico Beef Enchiladas. And you want them on a patio. On Sunset. And there had better be a couple of glass waterfalls inside. Yes, your demands are pretty specific. Thankfully, Rosa Mexicano has opened a suitable new outpost.

Now open, Rosa Mexicano, 8570 W Sunset Blvd, West Hollywood, 310-657-4991

4pm Tamales and Beer in Beverly Hills

Going forward, when it’s 4pm and your office productivity is waning, you’ll be able to grab an afternoon pick-me-up at Cocina Primavera’s new happy hour involving $3 sweet corn tamales and $4 lagers. Eating sweet corn tamales: also productive.

Saturday
The Hudson Throws a Block Party
