Three-Course Dinner with Vintage Atari

A three-course wine dinner is great and all, especially when paired with a barrel blend created specifically for the night. But add a vintage Atari 2600 and old-school games like Asteroids and Breakout, and expect the night to go down in history—or at least end with your initials in the high-score log.

Breakers to Brussels IPA on Tap

While it’s officially a dry Bay to Breakers this year, the guys at SKB are releasing their small-batch Belgian-style IPA—the Breakers to Brussels IPA—for your postrace recovery. And they’re opening up at 10am to pour it. As always, actually running is optional.

THE CLAW

Piles of Lobster in Half Moon Bay

A close second to being in Maine, this annual fest celebrates the best of the Vacationland State with steamed lobster, lobster bakes and lobster rolls. There’s also an oyster-shucking contest and clam chowder. Presumably so the other shellfish don’t get jealous.

Watching the Amgen Tour via Helicopter

For the first time, the start of this nearly 800-mile bike race through California is in Tahoe. They’ll speed around the lake, then up to Northstar. So short of riding with them, we’d say your best bet for catching the action is to charter your own helicopter. Propellers definitely help on the ascents.
