There’s a rare hipster trifecta going down in Hollywood tonight. Space 15 Twenty (1) has joined forces with McSweeney’s (2) to host an evening of courtyard culture that includes live music and a screening of I’m Here, the new short film from Spike Jonze (3). We hear it’s nothing like Adaptation.
The Six’s new brunch menu wields crazy-brilliant options like Waffle Sliders (sausage, fried egg, cheddar and bacon between waffle “bread”) and Hay Stacks (fries topped with burger meat, cheese, egg and gravy). Plus, bottomless Bloodys, mimosas or beer will flow for an extra $10. Do it.
Over in Highland Park, Little Cave is upping the ante on Labor Day weekend cookouts. They’ll start with free barbecue. Then, they’ll roll out a spread of hot rods and hogs outside, and a harem of luau girls within. Well played, Little Cave. Well played.
So there’s this event space called Machine Project, and some artists have built a big fake shipwreck right in the middle of it. Which, come Sunday night, means one thing for you: a toga party. Just kidding, it means a shipwreck party.
