We can't refuse to acknowledge a single non-reason why Steve Samson wouldn't not open a new Downtown pizza place.

Sort of a quadruple negative.

Obviously we mean that Superfine is Steve Samson's now-soft-open new pizza place in Downtown. We've always believed that and you will too, because here's a whole slideshow of proof.

Think of it as a mid-July gift from the Sotto and Rossoblu chef. The very guy your famished Downtown shadow wants to see springing an unexpected spot for slices and whole pie onto the planet.

It's not some holy grail of the neo-Neapolitan pizza scene either. Just an approachable, smaller-than-average cranny with a side-window you'll make contact with in the early afternoon between meetings/drinks.

From there, we imagine you've got it. If you want something traditional, try a margarita or a pepperoni slice. If you want to see the chef flex, do an 18" specialty pie with house-made sausage. Or design your own to be topped with salame picante, rapini and fermented Fresno chilies.

You've been meaning to have a rapini phase.
