Benjamin Cooper is simultaneously hidden inside the Hotel G (behind two unmarked doors, upstairs from Brasserie 398) and in Union Square, a part of town we'd almost never consider for great cocktails. But great cocktails there are, in abundance, from a team of former Big bartenders, no less. There's also velvet banquettes and a handsome walnut bar, plus raw oysters should you feel so inclined. Guessing that's a pretty likely inclination.
