Oysters and Shortrib Frankfurters in Clarendon

UD - Lyon Hall Congrats. You've made it to Thursday. (Nuclear summit motorcades notwithstanding.)

In just two short days, you can unwind. All day long—preferably somewhere with plenty of beer and duck prosciutto.

We know of such a place...

Say hello to Lyon Hall, opening tomorrow in Clarendon to serve all your Gallic snacking and sipping needs.

This is the kind of breezy French corner bistro your spring evenings deserve: late sun streaming in through massive storefront windows, hitting art deco-style white subway tiles—and the odd trophy or two—just so. (The place previously housed a trophy shop. But sadly there's no trophy for sausage consumption.)

You and your weekend companion will grab stools at the long marble bar and start your journey with one of 20 well-curated tap beers, like brews from Quebec's Le Trou du Diable, or Saison de Silly from Belgium. (Evidently, silly translates to... silly.)

But soon enough— probably around the first time you hear someone mention the Shortrib Frankfurter—your focus will shift to the menu. From then on, you'll be snacking on Chicken Liver Dumplings, Mussels with Lamb Sausage and Stone Crab Claws, paired with a glass of Bordeaux.

On second thought, better make it a carafe.
