But the idea here is that every step of this dram's production is completely traceable. So all you have to do is scan the QR code to find out things like the cask type, and filling and bottling dates, all the way to its appearance in the store you eventually buy it in.

This also gives you the peace of mind that the widespread problem of bootlegging valuable whiskies is not an issue here. So you know your rare Scottish spirit was actually made in Scotland and not in, say... Saskatchewan.
