DC’s biggest—and yes, oddest—beer garden is back in the brewing business. Tonight is your first chance to see what all those tanks on Bardo’s grounds have been up to, as they tap five beers for four bucks a pop. Bonus beer: a barley wine that’s been cask-aging since 1999.
Here’s a Saturday afternoon with a twist. You’re getting tiki drinks and Bluejacket beers from a big bar. You’re listening to dominant ’90s cover band White Ford Bronco. You’re doing this amidst giant inflatable water slides, water games and a water fight with gratis water cannons. That’s the twist.
The Maison Dixon pop-up restaurant is, well, popping up again at Capitol Lounge. The centerpiece: Nashville-style hot chicken, guaranteed to make your toes curl and your eyes water.
