Time once again to celebrate that civic achievement known as the 21st Amendment, and all the whiskey on tap, burlesque dancers and cigarette girls that Jack Rose can throw at it. So if you own a pair of spats, now might be a good time to break them out. Then again, sneakers would work, too.

Repeal Day: now so big, it can’t even be contained to one day. Here’s the Craft Bartenders Guild getting into their annual act at the Hill Center. Jazz. Black tie. A cummerbund if you must. And a half-dozen local cocktail talents, joined by a few out-of-towners. They better be good.
What we have here: some haberdash-ing New Yorkers, who drive a truck around. On that truck: a 3D body scanner that can measure you for a new suit in seven minutes. Seven minutes after that: you may well have picked out your fabric. And your whiskey at the bar.
Cowboys-Bears. Maybe you have a dog in that fight, maybe not. Or maybe you’ll just ignore it as you focus on Acre 121’s pulled-pork sandwich with mustard sauce and blue-cheese slaw or the gruyère-and-cheddar mac and cheese with BBQ pork. You can pick up each for $5. Wager your savings on the over.
