There’s a little pop-up scenario starting tonight at Voyager. The kind where Alite Designs launches a brand-new line of made-in-California outdoor bags like their canvas-and-leather Bike to the Beach number. Oh, and they’re having a party with gratis Asahi and Lynchburg lemonade on tap, too. So...
Umami Burger. You’ve been. You’ve consumed. You’ve gotten all choked up. And hey, they’re opening one in Palo Alto tomorrow. Look for the All Nighter at this one. It’s a burger topped with maple-glazed slab bacon, cheesy tot hash browns and coffee-infused red-eye gravy. It’s like a salad, only the exact opposite.
The Bluxome Street Winery is doing this thing now. A thing where they call upon a different food truck each week to dispense comestibles unto you. This week: Fins on the Hoof. They’ve got poutine and lamb burgers. Which is just lovely. And it’s at a winery. So, you know, wine.
Drive-in movies are great. Especially the kind that take place at a Napa Valley winery. Like this one at Odette. They’ll be screening The Big Lebowski, inviting Gott’s food truck along and bestowing you with two gratis pours from the tasting room. Take that, every other drive-in everywhere.
Nothing says St. Patrick’s Day like partying on an old Liberty ship that served in Normandy on D-Day. So you’re going to do that. But you’re also going to drink Irish whiskey, eat corned beef and cabbage, and presumably dance in some type of jig formation. Call it a wash.
