We hear this primary business has prevented you from making your annual pilgrimage to Carnaval. Pity. Sate yourself at Ceiba, where they’re pouring $5 caipirinhas and turning out Brazilian street food like cheese bread and steak churrasco. Now is a great time to wear the dress with the feathers.
If you’re lucky, you’ve got a day off on Monday. Which makes it as good a day as any for a crawfish boil. Here you’ll get suckling pig and cornbread, along with unlimited mudbugs and Abita Amber. Remember to pour a little out for George.
It’s been a while since you donned a tux on a Tuesday (since last Tuesday, at least). Here with an excuse: Fiola, with a Venetian-style Carnevale masquerade party. You’ll wear the formal stuff; they’ll provide a mask and a four-course menu. Also: a valet for your gondola.
Here: not much snow. In the hills of Pennsylvania: snow. That’s where you’ll head in a couple weeks, as the dodgeballing, soccer-playing folks at ZogSports are heading to Whitetail for an afternoon of tubing, followed by a visit to the Flying Dog Brewery. Which is best done post-tubing.
