Lobster Pop-Tarts at Michael Mina
HAPPY HOURING

Lobster Pop-Tarts at Michael Mina

The era of the lobster pop-tart is upon us. You’ll find it on the expanded bar menu at Michael Mina, where they’re also introducing a new happy hour with $7 cocktails and wine. But we had you with the pop-tart thing.

Sightglass Coffee: Now Open
JAVA THE HUT

Sightglass Coffee: Now Open

Your morning cup of joe: sacred. So we reluctantly report that change is afoot—the brothers behind Sightglass have left their two-year-old kiosk. But it’s okay: they’ve moved into a sprawling shrine to coffee, replete with coffee-glazed morning buns from Tell Tale Preserve Company. Your mornings needed more shrines.

Tequila-Infused Tacos from a Truck
TRUCK STOP

Tequila-Infused Tacos from a Truck

Behold: the tequila taco truck. It’ll only roam our streets for a month, serving a rotating menu of tequila-glazed, braised or marinated tacos. You can try the entire menu at the launch party—and they’ll have endless margaritas there, too. After that, it’ll be BYOM. Plan accordingly.

Jul 22, 7-10pm, SOMArts, 934 Brannan St (at 8th), 415-863-1414, tickets here

UD Hookup: The first 30 who sign up here will get comped tickets for themselves and a guest.

Tuesday
Fried Chicken and Mission Street Food
MISSION STATEMENT

Fried Chicken and Mission Street Food

A launch party for a cookbook. Not your typical scene. But this should be an exception: the book’s by the folks at McSweeney’s, it’s all about Mission Street Food, and you’ll be rewarded with unlimited Black Star beer and fried chicken. Your typical scene could use more fried chicken.
