The weekend has that look in its eye.
Bad news: there’s only one thing on the menu at this new Cleveland Park eatery. The good news: it’s prime sirloin steak, and it’s from the guy behind BGR The Burger Joint. They’ll also throw in bread, salad and frites for less than 20 bucks. Just don’t ask for the salad well done.
And speaking of eliminating tough decisions, the dark, lower-level wine bar at J&G Steakhouse is rolling out nine scaled-down versions of its top dishes, each paired with a taste of wine. Think bacon-wrapped shrimp with chardonnay and rack of lamb with tempranillo. You can commit now.
On your usual brunch tick sheet: Bloody Mary, check. Benedict, check. DJ and dancing, not so much. Until now, as Cities kicks off its brunch (and its enormous outdoor patio) with an all-afternoon dance party. Careful you don’t get a cramp.
The 2011 Redskins Cheerleader squad is nearly set. Also: you’ll be around when it is. At this afternoon show, the final contenders will be judged on “appearance, performance in dance routines, ability to entertain and photogenic ability.” Which is coincidentally also how you choose your interns.
