ALL SAINTS

Endless Yats Gumbo at the Board Room

The one-man po’boy-making, gumbo-slinging operation is resurfacing in North Beach starting tonight, in time for the Saints to kick off the season. In true bayou spirit, Abita beer and gratis gumbo will be on hand for anyone in black and gold. We’re guessing red and gold won’t get the same treatment.

SILVER SPOON

Mixology Classes at Spoonbar

When everybody else is wine-tasting, try mixing (and drinking) your own cocktails while getting insider tips from a master bartender, vodka distiller and tequila connoisseur. This weekend’s session focuses on a trusty handful of drinks like the Bloody Mary, Cucumber Collins and margarita. In other words, the wine can wait.

DONKEY KONG

Debut of Diamond Lil at Donkey & Goat

It’s not often that a bus/restaurant, a whole hog and eight wines come together at one event, so Donkey & Goat’s wine release party is worth the trip across the Bay. The city’s first bus-taurant will make its debut slinging pork belly sliders from its bus-kitchen. Stay long enough, and maybe you’ll get a ride home.

Sep 11, 12:30-4:30pm, Donkey & Goat, 2323 B Fourth St, Berkeley, 510-868-9174

Cinema City Film Crawl
AT THE MOVIES

Cinema City Film Crawl

With all due respect to our brother city to the south, the first motion picture was actually invented here in SF in 1879. This weekend’s movie crawl moves through some of the city’s longest-running movie houses while celebrating iconic on-location movies from Vertigo to Bullitt. It’s probably no coincidence that commercial popcorn came around in 1885...

SETTING SAIL

Brews on the Bay Beer Fest

If you’ve ever wondered what it’d be like to be a sailor aboard a WWII Liberty ship, this beer fest might offer a glimpse. While it’ll be docked as you run through more than 40 beers from breweries like Speakeasy and Magnolia, this ship is one of two of its kind still sailing. Making us wonder if the other one is being put to such good use.

Sep 11-12, 1-5pm, S.S. Jeremiah O’Brien, Pier 45, 415-939-1943, tickets here
