Sure, we've had our airplanes plow through geese and then land gracefully in the Hudson. But we've never had 15 stunt planes race over the harbor, banking and spinning around massive inflatable air gates as part of a world tour of air races. Think of it like NASCAR. But in the air. And good.
There are times when you need a break from the Hamptons, but not a break from poolside partying. Take your swimsuit to the third floor of the Thompson LES on Sunday and be prepared for total immersion in magnums of champagne, statuesque sunbathers, pumping DJ dance music and, yes, a swimming pool. Where immersion becomes a far more literal experience.
We're not terribly bullish on Greek symphony. But we are bullish on date ideas that involve rowboats and wine. So stroll with your Monday evening date to the Lake in Central Park, where the two of you will climb aboard a boat, row out into the calm water, pop a bottle of red and then listen as six drummers stationed on the shore around the lake pound out an ode to passion.
