Gratis Soft-Serve at ACKC

A day like this deserves free soft-serve. Okay, maybe not, but that's not stopping the 14th Street temple to chocolate from doling it out anyway. (They're celebrating the move to a new style of cream that uses more butterfat. It's called progress.) Arrive at happy hour and pair it up with half-price wine. Cabernet-fudge sundaes encouraged.

Ice cream all day today, happy hour 6-7:30pm, ACKC, 1529C 14th St NW, 202-387-COCO

Complimentary Facials and Beer

Alchimie Forever—the hidden secret of a Swiss spa in Georgetown—is inviting UrbanDaddy readers in all day for first-come, first-served 30-minute facials. They'll also be pouring beers from Silver Spring's Hook & Ladder Brewing Co—which we hear do wonders for the complexion.

KEGS AND LEGS

Kick the Keg Party at Wisdom

You're the type to finish what you start. Especially when it's a keg. The Capitol Hill booze den is offering a free beer tab to whoever orders the last beer in their keg of Germany's Ayinger Double Bock. To get you in the kicking spirit, they're showing kung fu movies (although we hear Bruce Lee was a pilsner man).

Taco Tuesdays at 1905
IN LIKE A LAMB

Taco Tuesdays at 1905

You usually visit this Ninth Street upstairs hideaway for some live jazz and the dark, Parisian atmosphere. And nothing says jazz and Paris like $3 lamb tacos and $4 Sol beers (available as a combo for six bucks). Think Fitzgerald in Cancun.

Tuesdays, 5:30-7:30pm, 1905, 1905 Ninth St NW, 202-332-1905

Clambakes on Occidental's Patio

Starting next week, the 100-year-old downtown institution is opening its patio for New England-style clambakes every other Wednesday during the summer. On the menu: 1.5-pound lobsters, mussels, steamers and strawberry shortcake. Plans to put a lighthouse at the corner of 15th and Pennsylvania are tied up in permitting.
